Has anyone else here grown up with the original Sonic? And what's your guys' thoughts on the old Genesis gameplay?

Haha. No I lived of all of the Sonic advanced games. But I don't know. I have been disapointed with the recent sonic games. I have low expectations

Yeah, Unleased and other newer games have gotten just not as good.
I think the series probably needs to be ended now.
Yes, it's good, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
Hey, even all my gaming magazines are saying similar stuff about them.
It would be nice if they continued the Chonicles games.
Tose were different; RPG sonics, rather than adventure/platform whatever.
Changing the format kept it interesting, but then they went back to the old ways with Unleashed.

Why does everyone who came into the series around the time of SA2 think Sonic should die? Not his fault you guys came late, and coincidentally at the same time when his games started to suck. Such blind comments...

I loved Sonic growing up, I still do. Nintendo didn't have anything on Sonic back then. (except Kirby, he and Sonic were the s%^$ to me back then) >_>
It's really high time that Sonic comes back to his traditional game play after all these years, it might even bring some new appreciation to the series as well as old if it's successful, which to be honest I'm allowing myself to put all my hopes into this one, sure they said "the same thing before", but those were half-assed attempts, if this is a full attempt then it's all or nothing.

I'd just like to say now that I am awaiting for the next game. I feel it will truely show where Sonic is headed

And, I loved SA2, and Sonic Rush, and stuff.
Sonic Chronicles was great, too.
I just dislike the most recent,
like the Sonic Unleashed and Olympics.
They have to stop rushing the games,
and focus on making one great one a year or two,
rather than five or six (exxageration).
They need quality over quantity.
All the big industries need that.
And that is just something most just refuse to understand.

I have nothing against sonic. Its just they've gotten worse. You can't deny
